Popular actor Jackie Chan‘s son has been sentenced to jail for six months after he pleaded guilty for dealing with drugs.
According to reports, Police caught Jaycee Chan with more than 100 grams of marijuana during an August raid at his Beijing home. Jaycee and Taiwanese movie star Ko Kai were tested positive for hard drugs.
Jackie Chan once said he’s not happy with his son’s activities and he feels very embarrassed. But he hope his son will learn his lessons and become an Anti-drug ambassador just like him someday. Jackie Chan was named an Anti-drug ambassador in 2009.
According to CCTV, Jaycee Chan told the judge that “I violated the law. I deserve to be punished. When I return to society, I won’t do it again,”
Police caught and arrested over 7.800 people last summer in Beijing over illegal drug abuse.
Jackie Chan revealed that he didn’t use his connections to interfere in his son’s case and he hope Jaycee will learn his lessons.
